Free At Last - Shirley Aurand Weisman
Dancing soaring across the midnight sky,
Singing for joy,
While being free at last,
At a high that cannot be reached,
Finally free from the chains,
The chains of the deadly past,
Haunting a heavy weight,
Tearing at my soul,
Digging until there is nothing left,
Yet I found the key,
Somehow in the deep of my heart,
There the freedom lies,
When the truth soared free,
Free from imprisonment,
Out into the world,
Away from my mind,
Soul heart and mind,
Free at last,
Free to soar,
Free to dance,
Free to smile,
Carry no burden on my back,
No tax on my soul,
At long last the sky is calling,
And I can soar,
To do anything I want to do.
