save me from the oil slicks
the rocky torn down towns
save me from the hilly plains
that cover undead grounds
save me from the tortured heap
that lay upon the floor
save me from the sliced up sheets
that washed it all ashore
save me from my own damn self
the self you never knew
save me from the screeching words
that haunt and scream and rue
save me from the turned up lakes
the pointy prickled sand
save me from the sprinkled soot
that pushed up on the land
save me from the evil side
the side that sneaks up slow
save me from the worshiped side
the side i'll never know
