To You - Sara Aizman

I never frowned upon you
At least not to your face,
I’ve burnt my feelings
Like you burnt my spirit
Into a cold white ash

I saw the end before we began
I never admitted it to you though
I thought if I kept away from you
It would be safe
But you managed to clutch to me

Pain and torture is what I received
But not as bad as you had it
The whole world was against you
I was just another one of those things
I was transparent

I had a lot of strength
And I gave it to you
But don’t thank me
You’re the one with the power
I hope I did the right thing

                         -Your Soul
